Water Management Solutions As a former Commissioner and Chairman of Jessamine Rural Water District No. 1, George recognizes the need for utility services such as water and sewer. As a result of this experience he drafted changes to the Kentucky Revised Statutes that would encourage mergers of rural water districts by allowing two additional positions on the board of merged districts. In 1997 George worked with the Jessamine County Fire District and the owners of Taylor Made Farm for acquisition of a site for a fire station on Union Mill Road. This was the first County Fire Station to be built outside of the Nicholasville City Limits. The location of this station placed 95% of the residents of the 4th District within 5 miles of a fire station. Committed to the preservation of our County's Historic Heritage, Rural Economy and Quality of Life ![]() As a full time farmer George recognizes the need to preserve farmland. He is an advocate for controlled and orderly development that does not jeopardize our rural quality of life or place a burden on our abilities to provide essential services to the residents of Jessamine County. |
